Warning: You should NOT update during production. In general, our updates do not require rebooting the machine/server, but if anything is using our software during an update, you will get a notice to reboot the machine. You should ONLY update when no production is running and the machine can be rebooted if necessary.

As of release 2030.990/995, Report Runner now requires .Net 4.8 or .Net 4.8.1.

Other than requiring .Net 4.8 or later, there are other breaking changes when you update to the latest release. Note, these are NOT bugs... they are just changes to way a few things are done. This is not how we normally do things, but these changes were required in order to stay up to date with modern day security practices (Microsoft's modern token processing requirements/MSAL Graph).

It is not mandatory to update past 2030.980/985, but understand there will be no other updates to this last .Net 4.6-based release. All future updates will be based on 2030.990/995's new security requirements and the usage of .Net 4.8/.Net 4.8.1.
